I've never been very good at selling myself and my skills, so this is going to be something of an adventure for me.

 

Perhaps it would be best if I began with the basics.  I'm a mom, married with two children.  I started working retail in 2004 to try and make ends meet, and have been in retail ever since.  I worked for one company for eleven years, and then left it to join a different company that treated its workers slightly better.  I will not name either, but both were what are called "big box stores"; one retail electronics, one retail home improvement.  What no one who has not worked retail can't understand is just how hard and how stressful working in an environment like that can be.

After all this time, however, I'm moving on from retail, to focus on my true passion: the written word.  Whether I'm writing it myself or for someone else, or just helping someone tone their own writing into something better, I have always enjoyed words more than the average person. Now I'm turning passion into profession, and aiming for a career as a freelancer.  My self-professed duty? To help others communicate their concepts, ideas and thoughts better.
